Today I spent most of the day in the media lab messing around with some photos and starting to put together a self portrait video. When I finally peeled myself out of the chair and got up to the studio I decided to attack the big 3'X4' canvas that has been staring at me since Tuesday. But first I quickly did these small sketches to get into the swing of things.

I wasn't very happy with the drawing at this point so I decided to throw large amounts of water at it...I think it helped.

I'm not sure what's next for this piece but it's been fun so far.
who knew throwing water at something would make it SO much better? It was good before but it's amazing now.
ReplyDeleteI like the pictures showing progression. They're very interesting and provide an inside perspective to your process.
Thanks! I now think water is the solution to every problem in the world.
